Abbotsford Rugby Sevens

Abbotsford Rugby Sevens was a huge success at the Tradex Center, and exceeded expectations on every level attracting sixteen teams that included international competitors from Kenya and the West Indies.  Tradex organizers are receiving rave reviews from the rugby world, participants and spectators about all aspects of the sevens spectacular, the first of its kind in Canada. Sixth ranked in the world, Kenya brought the tournament to an exciting finish beating Canada 12-10 in the final game! Next year's Tradex Center event will be bigger and better with a two day tournament that has a long list of international teams already interested in joining the 16 teams that promised to come back. The first International Rugby Sevens would like to thank their partners, sponsors and supporters for making the event a reality.
The Best Western Regency hotel accommodation in Abbotsford was thrilled to have the opportunity to host 5 teams during the Tradex rugby tournament, West Indies, Kenya, Seattle and two teams from Rugby Canada.

Trade Show Success

On April 16th the Best Western Regency Inn & Conference Centre in Abbotsford participated in the Fraser Valley Business Showcase held at Tradex, hosted by Chamber of Commerce from around the region. The show focused on the tourism and aviation sectors and was a phenomenal success with over 150 exhibitors and an estimated 1,500 attendees.
Our Best Western Hotel booth was extremely popular (we did offer truffles to our guests) and we were fortunate to have the first spot as guests came in the door.

Bethany and Harleen, our front desk agents at the Best Western Inn, embarked on a new adventure as  they ran their first marathon on Sunday, May 3rd,  the  42K Vancouver BMO Marathon. Keep up the good work ladies – you are an inspiration!

Famous Guests Visiting the Tradex Center:

Have you ever thought about getting a tattoo? Have you ever seen anyone get a tattoo? Well on April 17-19 we hosted a number of incredible artists who participated in the West Coast Tattoo show at Tradex. One of our special guests was artist Corey Miller of the TV show L.A. Ink.
Now everyone knows how popular TLC is – and a show called Overhaulin' is one of their many hits.
We were thrilled to have Chip Foose and George Ballis stay with in April as they were in town for the BC Classic & Custom Car Show at Tradex.
Past celebrity guests have included:
